From Ruud van Nistelrooy is expected to leave Leicester City after the last game of Sunday of the season against Bournemouth – but Foxes bosses still have to decide who they want to replace him as a head coach.
As Sky Sports News reported a month ago, his former Southampton -Baas Russell Martin and Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Rohl priority candidates for Leicester, but the hierarchy is determined not to continue their search out of respect for Van Nistelrooy, while still in the mail.
It is expected that conversations about an exit deal for the Dutch coach will start early next week.
Although it is thought that contact was made with the representatives of Martin, there have been no formal discussions with the bosses of Leicester about the details of a deal.
Rohl has a buy-out clause in Hillsborough, which is thought to reduce by 50 percent if a championship club wants him instead of a Premier League club.
Both Rohl and Martin are linked elsewhere to management vacancies.
