John Terry broke his silence on James Maddison's Europa League final on him.
Maddison channeled his inner JT after Spurs beat Manchester United 1-0 last night in Bilbao, putting on a full kit, even though he did not play because of an injury.
His switch from a suit to a matchday kit for the celebrations was immediately compared to Terry's wearing a full Chelsea strip after their 2012/13 Champions League -final victory over Bayern Munich.
Maddison put pleasure in his wardrobe change and wrote about his Instagram story together with a photo of goal scorer Brennan Johnson: “From Pak to full kit.
“All @johnterry.26 fashion. Something to say tonight, John?
It was not long before Terry saw Maddison's story, to which he responded with a brutal excavation.
He wrote about his own story: “I remember my first trophy. Ah blessing them.
“Take the tequila out. Great season of your boys, you all have to be proud. 16 go go.
“After that performance I think you have a chance. You just have to live 900 years.”
Maddison, 28, claimed that he only wore the entire kit, so that he could get a medal from a winners, something that Spurs-Schipperzoon Heung-Min initially missed.
He said CBS Sports: “They said I had to turn on the kit to get a medal! I didn't want to do John Terry!
'What a special feeling. Make [the season] Everything well – the pain of not playing is unable to help the team.
“It is a brilliant achievement and a way to qualify for the Champions League, but it is more to win for the fans.
“They have had years of pain.”
