Guglielmo Vicario has unveiled details of the emotional video for the competition that turns out to be the inspiration behind Tottenham's Europa League triumph.
After the routine team meeting at the Hotel in Bilbao team, Baas Ange Postecoglou showed his players a series of clips from their friends and family who want and support them best to take the last step by beating Manchester United to end a 17-year waiting time for a big trophy.
“It was very emotional,” said Vicario, whose mother and father spoke in his video. 'They just said to fight for this badge, to fight for Tottenham Hotspur and to make them happy.
“In the back of our head they played a large part of the game and they celebrated with me on the field.”
Tottenham won 1-0 with thanks to a filthy goal from Brennan Johnson.
“The most important thing is that we won,” said Vicario. 'It's a big achievement for the club, for the fans. An important evening, a historic night for everyone who loves this football club, so I am very happy.
'A victory like this is starting to change something in the back of thoughts about many people they may not have given us credit in some situations this season.
“It has been a difficult season, but now we have won a trophy, we write history, we will play in the Champions League next season.”
Spurs breed 17th in the Premier League, but automatically qualifies for the Champions League next season and brings the total number of English clubs to six in the competition.
