Real Madrid said goodbye to one midfield legend on Thursday, but now his preparations are present to welcome another iconic midfielder: Xabi Alonso. The Basque manager now has a presentation date, while he returns to the club where he played and replaces Carlo Ancelotti.
The Italian coach and Modric are planned for an emotional farewell of the club after the last home game of Los Blancos of the season against Real Sociedad in the Santiago Bernabeu. However, the planning for next season is already underway, where Alonso is waiting to take over, and Alexander-Arnold and Dean Huijsen have already registered.
According to Marca, Alonso will arrive in Madrid and will be presented as the new manager at the Santiago Bernabeu on the morning of Monday 26 May. He will arrive with four assistants for his task, in the form of assistant manager Sebas Parrilla, fitness coach Alberto Encinas, another fitness coach in Ismael Camenforte Lopez and coach Benat Lebai.
