Arman Tsarukyan reveals surprising reason for wanting to fight Paddy Pimblett

UFC Lightweight Competent Arman Tsarukyan sets his path back to a title shot that goes through Paddy Pimblett.

This is after the Armenian competitioner hoped his championship in Los Angeles at the beginning of 2025.

Tsarukyan withdrew from UFC 311 in the short term and forced the promotion to climb for a new opponent for champion Islam Makhachev. A back injury sustained during the weight reduction was cited as the reason for the withdrawal of the challenger.

Dana White took away the status of Tsarukyan as a top 155-pound competitioner, which means that 'Akhalkalakets' has more work to do before he deserved a shot.

The 28-year-old did not strengthen that, who has since been looking for his next assignment.

Arman Tsarukyan wants to get more British fans by fighting Paddy Pimblett

After callouts from Charles Oliveira and Justin Gaethje fell on deaf ears, Tsarukyan recently focused his attention on a rising figure lower in the ranking.

Pimblett dominated Michael Chandler on UFC 314 to break into lightweight conflicts. And with 'The Baddy' to have his next fight added to the calendar, Tsarukyan has set up a confrontation.

After a word war on social media in April, the number 1 -arranged competitor mentioned the desire to grow his British fan base as the reason to want to fight Pimblett during a recent interview with Red Corner MMA.

“Maybe he wants to fight towards the end of this year, but I want to fight this summer and the end of this year,” Tsarukyan said.

“I will take that because he has a big name, he just beats Michael Chandler, and he has a six or seven [fight] Win Streak.

“He is never lost in the UFC. It makes sense to come back and get more fans from the UK,” Tsarukyan added.

Arman Tsarukyan insulted Paddy Pimblett with 'Budget Beatles' Dig

Talk about Tsarukyan and Pimblett fighting had already risen this year after the few words had exchanged prior to the triumph of the latter in Miami.

After 'The Baddy' a “chic boy” noticed him during an episode of the Full Send Podcast, Hit Hit the Armenian lightweight back on X with shots on Pimblett's power of competition, accent and hairstyle.

“The man who got the easiest path to the top in UFC just because he has a funny accent and budget Beatles hairstyle,” Tsarukyan wrote. “I challenge you to call out if you win and we will see who s – t his pants in the Octagon when we meet.”

This certainly laid the basis for a fiery feud between the couple that the octhoek could reach quickly enough.

Whether that is the next or further, however, can still be seen.
