De Bruyne down to final two transfer options after Mo Salah’s Liverpool plea

Legend Kevin De Bruyne van Manchester City has been set for his last minutes of the Premier League this weekend, while the Belgian midfielder is considering taking the next steps in his career

Kevin De Bruyne is thanks to two options while he decides where he can take his next step in his career after leaving Manchester City. The Premier League legend will play in his last game for the club on Sunday, because his contract ends at the end of the season.

The citizens have chosen not to renew his deal because they want to fill to supplement their side after a disappointing season did not have them compete to retain their Premier League title. And after 108 goals and 177 assist in 421 performances for City, De Bruyne starts the next term with a new team.

Napoli, under the management of Antonio Conte, has settled as the most important candidate in Europe for the signature of the 33-year-old. A switch to Major League Soccer has also been recommended and Chicago Fire has taken the option of Inter Miami to sign him on a discovery list, which means that no other American club can sign him without paying a fee to the fire.

Owner Joe Mansueto reportedly threw De Bruyne and would like to offer the switch to MLS as a way to help him replay career in the business world. De Bruyne has already decided against a move to the Saudi Pro League with his family that plays an important role in every decision.

The midfielder is also linked to Arsenal and Aston Villa, while Liverpool Mohamed Salah joked that he would like to welcome De Bruyne to Anfield in the summer. “I want to tell him congratulations for your career,” Salah told Sky Sports.

“He did a phenomenal work at City, and he was great for the competition. I really wish him the best … And we have a space for him!”

However, the city legend seems to have already chosen not to look at offers from a Premier League rival. The Etihad Club plans to honor De Bruyne with a statue that celebrates his career in the club, while he follows in the footsteps of Vincent Kompany, David Silva, Sergio Aguero, Mike Summerbee, Francis Lee and Colin Bell.

De Bruyne has previously expressed his disappointment about not expanding his stay in the club. “I didn't have a offer all year round, they just made a decision,” he said in April.

“Of course I was a bit surprised, but I just have to accept it. To be honest, I still think that I can perform at this level as I show, but I understand that clubs have to make decisions.

“Maybe if the team did not struggle and I returned the way I did this year and if normally bound, they might make a decision. I feel that I still have a lot to give. Of course I know that I am no longer 25, but I still have the feeling that I can do my work.

“I am open to everything. I have to look at the whole picture. I look at sporty, family, everything together, which is most logical for me and my family.

“I like to play football. I like to compete. That is what I feel, so I can't say that I want to stop because I still feel that I still want to defeat the boys when I am in training. I feel that I am doing very well and that is why I have played a lot lately.”
