Barcelona star Cubarsi excused from U21 European Championship duty

Barcelona -star Pau Cubarsi will be apologized for the Spain team of Santi Denia for the UEFA European Championship.

Cubarsi enjoyed a sensational breakthrough campaign with the side of Hansi Flick, because the 18-year-old is firmly established as a starting center.

His overall spell line of 2024/25, however, is a concern for Flick, with 55 club matches that are played on route to a Trophy Treble victory in Catalonia.

After he was brought in for his senior Spain debut in March 2024, the teenager is now in the plans of Luis de la Fuente, after La Roja to be represented at every level from U15 Up.

However, Denia is confronted with a defensive headache in front of his team on 26 May, with Dean Huijsen and Raul Asencio Get rid of the FIFA Club World Cup service.

Denia cannot block Asencio and Huijsen to join Los Blancos during the flight to the US because of the FIFA rules for senior competitions.

Valencia's Crithian Mosquera is the number 1 option to cover the combined absence, but according to reports from Mundo Deportivo, Cubarsi gets a much needed break.

After winning gold for Spain in the Olympic Games last summer, Cubarsi hardly had any peace, but he was able to participate in the La Fuente Panel for the Nations League service at the beginning of June.

Spain lost famous to England in a poorly tempered 2023 final and they were placed in group A this summer with hosts Slovakia next to Italy and Romania.

If Denia's Top Group A and England finish second in group B, they will immediately have a collision course in the last 16.

Lee Carsley has already confirmed his team for competition with Harvey Elliott, Adam Wharton and Jobe Bellingham, included the striking names for the holders.
