UFC CEO Dana White has kept the door tight on his hunters opposite Boxers since the lucrative crossover of Conor McGregor.
McGregor fought Floyd Mayweather Jr. In a boxing match in 2017, invoiced as' The Money Fight ',' Boxing vs. MMA: Champion of Champions' and 'The Biggest Fight in Combat Sports History'.
The competition eventually raised those monikers during the structure and on fighting evening. The event, which saw the American move to 50-0 by putting McGregor in round 10, is only behind Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao as the second highest Pay-per-View buying rate in history.
In view of that financial success, many in the future expected comparable crossover attacks. But a long -reigning champion discovered that this was not the case.

In many ways, McGregor is vs. Mayweather credited for the constant crossover -in -combat sports, which compete with the will of Anderson Silva, Nate Diaz, Jorge Masvidal, Anthony Pettis and many more all compete with boxing.
But what did they all have in common? No contractual obligation with the UFC.
When it comes to hunters who actively follow the UFC banner in McGregor's footsteps, the number remains zero.
Perhaps the most stubborn in discussing his hope to change that Kamaru was usman, while he ruled as the Welterweight champion of the UFC and Pound-for-Pond Koning. Usman focused on P4P boxer Canelo Alvarez, even Zwaande to beat the Mexican.
But while the urge of the Nigerian-American received a lot of attention before the match in early 2022, the Hood Honcho of the UFC made its attitude clear.
“Everything about it is terrible. It's a stupid fight to make, it makes no sense. I don't know how many people would be interested to see that,” White told Sky Sports.
“When Conor and Floyd fought, it grabbed a life of his own. Everywhere I went, people asked me if the two would fight. It just kept building, building and building. It eventually became the biggest pay-per-view ever.
“Something can come, but the whole boxing versus mma -thing is stupid,” White added.

When rejecting every possibility that the fight comes together, White and the UFC apparently served as the only red light.
After the frequent callouts of Usman, Alvarez gave up a thumb somewhat while he spoke with Ariel Helwani on the MMA hour.
'Maybe. Why not? You never say no, right? ” Said Alvarez. “My trainer told me about it. And I said, 'If you say [so]. '' '
The Mexican hunter, however, stated that he wanted to protect his legacy in boxing before he was blamed at the opportunities of novelty or crossover.
'[The Usman fight is] Not really in my mind. I want a really good legacy for my career, and then we can talk about other things. “
Since talking about that fight, the pound-for-pound boxer continues to find success in the ring. Alvarez recently became two -time undisputed champion at Super Midleweight by beating William Scull.
Usman has since fallen into the Octagon at difficult times. 'The Nigerian nightmare' has not won a fight since White rejected his boxing point and lost twice to Leon Edwards and Khamzat Chimaev.
The 38-year-old will try to take a first victory in four years when he heads the UFC Atlanta event against Joaquin Buckley on June 14.
