A 23-year-old Islam Makhachev made its UFC debut today today.
In the past decade, Makhachev has proven time and again that he is much more than the star of Khabib Nurmagomedov.
With four defending defense and 15-right victories on 155 pounds, the UFC Lightweight Champion could have surpassed Nurmagomedov very well as the greatest lightweight of all time.
After conquering the lightweight division, Islam Makhachev now has his sentences on Welterweight gold against Jack della Maddalena, who is unbeaten in his last 18 fights.
Makhachev has not lost since his second UFC fight where he was eliminated by Adriano Martins. In the fight before that, Makhachev stood up to a perfect 12-0 with his first victory in the Octagon.

Islam Makhachev embraced Khabib Nurmagomedov after stitching Leo Kanz on UFC 187
The UFC signed Makhachev in 2014 after 11 victories in a row on the Russian scene. It would not be until May 2015 when Makhachev made his UFC debut on UFC 187 – The same night Daniel Cormier UFC Gold hit Anthony 'Rumble' Johnson.
The Young Makhachev faced a 17-1-1 Leo Kanz on the Undercard. Kunz had a short-term UFC career of two fights, but the lightweight rode an undefeated line of 15 fights at the time.
Makhachev scored a beautiful Takedown Kunz in the first round and grabbed his back where he was looking for the chake. Kunz survived the first attempt by Makhachev and ended around 1 on his feet.
The second time would be the charm for Makhachev. In round 2, Makhachev Kunz took back from the conflict and flat on the floor.
After more than a minute protected Makhacheve the body triangle on the waist of KANZ and he violently locked up a tight choke to force his opponent to tap.
Makhachev jumped in the air and ran to Khabib Nurmagomedov in his corner, hugged his old friend after a well -done work.
Islam Makhachev then suffered his first and only loss in UFC fight
Makhachev is a fight that is removed from unbeaten. Like most UFC hunters, the lightweight champion in the Octagon lost very early in the Octagon.
Five months after his debut profit, Makhachev Paden crossed with Adriano Martins from Brazil on UFC 192.
Makhachev started the fight very aggressively and his strategy would eventually cost him. In less than two minutes, Martins Makhachev dropped with a right hand on the clock when he entered.
Martins landed another shot on the ground before the referee jumped in and stopped the match. Makhachev could not believe it and twice the railing of the Octagon was celebrating while Martins celebrated.
