Arsenal sent shock waves through European football while holding on to deny the heaviest heavyweights Barcelona and to secure the first Champions League triumph in 18 years.
The side of Renee Slegers used a brilliant defensive representation to close the ruling European champions that defeated the top German side Wolfsburg 10-2 and WSL champions Chelsea 8-2 won in total in the two previous rounds Arsenal 1-0 thanks to Stina Blackstenius' winner of the bank.

ARSENAL
Daphne van Domselaar – 8
Arsenal's goalkeeper gave her team a real boost early. While Barcelona tried to achieve that early goal, the decision -making of Van Domselaar – and occasionally a desire to make – really trusted under the rest of the back line. A lot of routine stops, but she showed why she is no. 1.
Emily Fox – 7
Excellent athletics. The American right back had Alexia Putellas, Claudia Pina and a very attacking Fridolina Rolfo by her side, but they all walked brilliantly.
Leah Williamson – 9
A great achievement of all time. That is why she is Captain of England.
The first half was excellent from Williamson. Right place, right time, every time. The striking was a stunning intervention to deny Ewa Pajor in one-VS-One situation, but there were so many 'cool head' moments that make her one of the very best in her position.
Steph Catley – 9
Just as good as Williamson, but did it in a different way. Although Williamson was stylishly brilliant, Catley was more no-nonsense. The Australian put her body at stake and was one of the main reasons why Barcelona did not get a breakthrough.
Katie McCabe – 8
Very, very impressive against a Barcelona Flank Chelsea and Niamh Charles struggled.
McCabe followed Caroline Graham Hansen everywhere and Timed her offensive influence well.
Frida Maanum – 7
A physical presence in that midfield and Barcelona struggled to deal with her combative style. Bad luck to be refused a long distance stunner and then to be forced with a knock. But Blackstenius improved the Arsenal immediately after emerging.
Kim Little – 9
Surrounded by Ballon d'Or winners in the midfield of the opposition, but managed to fall in. The Arsenal captain put a glorious cross in to find Foor at an early stage at Back Post, although she should have taken her first half in the box. The metronome in this Arsenal team and everywhere in both boxes and everything in between. She would start in that midfield of Barcelona.
Mariona Caldentey – 7
The player of the year of the WSL covered a lot of land, but had difficulty having an attacking influence. In honesty it was not really the game for that. Got stuck, but didn't really have the same impact on the board. However, her experience was crucial against her former side.
Chloe Kelly – 7
A threat. Although replacement Beth Mead was better with the last ball, Kelly still justified her selection on the right wing – but was dangerous from both sides. Excellent in the press and Timed her runs good – and how she did not set it up – Aditanian goal showed how dangerous she was. Shortly after he was booked, the need for concentration and fine margins made her a risk.
Caitlin Foord – 8
Dangerous – and crucial for Arsenal who started a good start that gave Barcelona that little fear. While her hold-up play and threat stood out on the counter, the highlight was the celebration of stopping Putellas on the other side.
Alessia Russo – 7
It was difficult for the star of Arsenal, given the domination of the Barcelona ball. Russo kept the channels well, but it was not the game for the Renee Slees version of this in-shape striker. Further pushed back when Blackstenius was tried – and rightly so.
Subs
Stina Blackstenius – 8
The first part of the double replacement that Arsenal placed back in the history books. Immediately brought the Gunners back to life by giving them an outlet on the top of the field. Respond brilliantly to missing a big chance moments after he came up – by getting that winner.
Beth Mead – 8
Again, a difference maker. The wing player of England produced the last ball that Kelly could not offer. Mead contributed to that freshness that Arsenal had to win the game.
Lina Hurtig and Lotte Wubben Moy – N/A
BARCELONA
Cata Coll – 7
Some really smart stops – that of Maanum and Blackstenius stand out. Couldn't do much with the winner.
ONA Battle – 6
A real threat in the future, especially in the second half when she had three or four big chances. But on the other hand, a difficult time of Foord and Kelly during the break.
Irene Paredes – 5
The captain of Barcelona had spared her blushing with the own goal that was excluded from offside. A few good blocks but not really tested when Arsenal went into a layer of block.
Mapi Leon – 6
Excellent in terms of reliable on the ball and produces the ball on the field. Bad luck to be on the losing side, but then suffered Mead and Blackstenius.
Fridolina Rolfo – 5
Quiet first half of an attack -oriented left back. Better in the second half and put in one dangerous cross that Catley dropped the toes of Pajor.
Aitana Bonmati – 7
Again, just incredible to look. Made past players and the striking player of Barcelona. If they got an equalizer, it would have come through her.
Patricia Guijarro – 6
Won more balls than anyone else in the middle third part of the field. Quite impressive considering her side had quite a lot of the ball.
Alexia Putellas – 5
The balloon d'Or winner had a quiet first half, with the last ball missing. The dominant spell of Barcelona at the start of the second half was partly to Putellas, which came on more. But like many of her teammates, more was needed.
Caroline Graham Hansen – 5
Fully closed by McCabe. Another whose last ball was really missing.
Claudia Pina – 5
A quieter afternoon from the Champions League top scorer and the woman who made so much impression on Chelsea in the final round. Almost no existence in the first half and although she was unlucky not to score when her shot came from the bar, it felt like the Barcelona attacker did not deserve that happiness. Rightly on the way to the first replacement.
Ewa Pajor – 6
Had the least touches of each player in the first half, which was surprising. On the other hand, the Low Block of Arsenal was pretty solid and the Barcelona attacker was closed by Williamson and Catley All Game.

Salma Parulello – 5
Came for Pina to try to bring an attacking spark – but it didn't come and the replacement of Barcelona was booked. That was probably her greatest influence on the game.
