There are not many hunters more iconic than Nate Diaz, the former UFC title titleer from Stockton. Diaz fought a row of a murderer in the lightweight and welterweight divisions of the UFC, where he became a massive pay-per-view draw with an entry from 2016 at Conor McGregor.

Diaz then sold more than 2 million pay-per-views in his series with McGregor and years later he headed Madison Square Garden, where he fought against Jorge Masvidal for the inaugural BMF title in 2019.

Diaz eventually lost Doctor's stoppage TKO because of a cut over his eye. Diaz, now a free agent, later received revenge on Masvidal in a boxing match last summer.

Josh Thomson open for boxing after excluding MMA Return

Thomson was one of the most rounded light weights on the planet in his heyday. The American fought the will of Gilbert Melendez (three times), Benson Henderson and Tony Ferguson.

Thomson has been retired for eight years now and says that he is still training in the Roger Gracie gym in Frisco, TX.

At the age of 46, 'The Punk' is not going to make an MMA comeback, but he leaves the door open for a boxing match.

“Boktraining, only boxing is one thing,” Thomson explained.

“If I had to go back and train like Jiu Jitsu, wrestling, MMA, I am like no. No real desire.

“But if it was just a straight boxing match, yes. I just have to concentrate on ensuring that my shoulders are rebuilt, a lot of jump rope, lots of footwork and movement. I could certainly do that.

“It has nothing to do with age,” Thomson said about possibly fighting again.

“In terms of performance, it has to do with the age. I feel that I am of course delayed a lot.”
