UFC Submission King Charles Oliveira started a wild start of his legendary career in the Octagon.
Charles Oliveira is on top of the list of entries of the UFC and has become one of the legends of the promotion of all time. Oliveira will probably earn a place in the UFC Hall of Fame as soon as he chooses to hang the gloves, but he has a way to go before he walks away from fighting.
Oliveira will be confronted with former UFC -Fedweight Champion Ilia Topuria in the UFC 317 in Las Vegas next month. He and Topuria will fight for the empty lightweight championship after the Islam Makhachev announced a switch to the Welterweight Division earlier this month.
Oliveira's path to become the Submission King of the UFC was a long, winding road. It all started when Oliveira made his UFC debut against Darren Elkins in August 2010.

Charles Oliveira conquered a brutal slam to catch Darren Elkins in an annoying entry
Oliveira, a featherweight at the time of his promotion debut against Elkins, was confronted with an early adversity against his opponent in the Octagon. Only a few seconds in the fight picked up Elkiveira and hit him in the canvas, at an early scary moment for the future UFC champion.
But Oliveira used himself in the lower position in his favor and presented his Elite Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills. Elkins originally thought that Oliveira was stunned by the brutal slam and visibly looked surprised about Oliveira's ability to quickly recover from the round 1 moment.
Oliveira caught all in a triangle and left his rival with nowhere. The BJJ Ace Oliveira proceeded to the arm of Elkins with an annoying Armbar submission to win its UFC debut.
Oliveira's victory on Elkins marked what his first of 16 UFC retail victories would be during his promotional term of office. View the Bounceback performance of Oliveira against Elkins below.

Charles Oliveira is weeks out of possible repayment on UFC 317
Oliveira and Topuria have hit again for weeks before their UFC 317 title fight. Before Makhachev's relocation to Welterweight, a potential collision between Oliveira and Topuria was plagued for weeks, because both hunters made strong cases for the next lightweight title shot.
With Makhachev from image, Topuria will focus his attention on Oliveira while looking at a second UFC world championship government. He chose to leave the UFC -Fedweight title earlier this year, which was later won by Alexander Volkanovski above Diego Lopes on UFC 314.
Oliveira predicts that his upcoming fight with Topuria will not go the distance and promises a brutal knockout in the Octagon. But Topuria is some confidence in his chances for UFC 317, because he looks in phenomenal form in recently released training images.
