Amorim apologises for ‘disaster season’ after Man U end campaign with victory

Ruben Amorim apologized for a 'ramps season' as head coach of Manchester United, but promised that better times are around the corner.

The United Baas made his promise to say sorry to supporters after the last match at home at Aston Villa, who won United with goals from Amad Diallo and a Christian Eriksen penalty at his last performance.

And after he had warned the club that 'the storm came' shortly after his arrival – a prophecy that came painfully true – Amorim hit a more positive note while spending fans on the field by experiencing happier times returning to the club.

“First of all, I want to apologize for this season,” said the 40-year-old after taking the microphone.

'I know you are very disappointed about me and with the team. Secondly, I want to thank. We are very grateful for your support during the season.

'Now we have to make a choice or we will remain stuck in the past because this season is in the past. We fight each other or we stay together and move forward.

'Six months ago in my first three games, with two wins and one draw, I said the storm is coming. Today after this ramps season I want to tell you that the good days are coming.

'If there is one club that proves in the past that can overcome any situation every disaster, it is our club, it is Manchester United.

'Now I also want to say to my players, sometimes I was not honest, but I always try to be honest with you. Thank you very much, see next season. '
