Serie A giants to offer bold Luka Modric transfer deal

Real Madrid captain Luka Modric will not be short in transfer offers after the FIFA Club World Cup this summer in the US.

After a call from the club not to extend his contract for the 2025/26 season, Modric is preparing to bring the curtain down in the Spanish capital at 13 years, but he has no plans to retire.

The 39-year-old has consistently indicated his wish to sign another annual extension in Madrid, to play beyond his 40th birthday in September and lead Croatia at the World Cup 2026.

However, the desire for change in the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu is strong and Modric will join Carlo Ancelotti when moving this summer.

According to the small print of his current contract, the Modric deal will not end in June, and he will be Real Madrid in the US captain and can stretch their involvement until mid-July.

Diario reports as indicating that clubs from MLS will use the Club World Cup as a starting point to reach Modric during a move to North America.

With his focus in 2026 in the World Cup, staying in the US can be favorable if he wants to guarantee little disruption in his preparations.

Transfer experts Fichajes.net claim that a stay in Europe can still be an option with Modric ready to play in the UEFA Champions League for another year.

2025 Finalists Inter Milan reportedly reached his representatives after the exit confirmation of Real Madrid.

Simone Inzaghi has made the habit of bringing experienced players in his team in the past seasons and Modric would be an important boost.

No decision will be made from Inter Milan until after the final of the Champions League with PSG on 31 May and Modric will ask to wait until July.
