Jonny Evans' wife Helen shared a moving farewell post for her husband after it was revealed that he will leave Manchester United forever at the end of the season.
The defender enjoyed two Stints in Old Trafford, the first to make him 198 and 2015 198 performances for his boys' club.
Evans was reduced in 2023 to train with the side in the preseason, before he was set up by the then manager Erik ten Hag to build his faltering back line.
The center distinguished itself during his return to Manchester, and appears to be a number of man-of-the-match versions on the heels of a surprise of a new new contract.
The 37-year-old will call the time on his career for the Red Devils with 241 performances to his name, and looked visibly moved as he twists the applause of the Old Trafford Faithful for the last time on Sunday afternoon.
The post on social media by Evans' partner – whom he met during his first term of office at the club – underlined the emotion in his departure.
'12 years later, 8 years of break in the middle and 3 children added to the team … Over and out! 'Helen shared on social media site X.
“Best fans in the world.”
In addition to the post, Helen shared photos, both earlier in the career of Evans, and those of Sunday afternoon in the aftermath of the 2-0 win against Aston Villa with their family.
Evans and his wife met each other for the first time in Carrington, with Helen – who had previously worked as a model and freelance presenter for Irish League matches – a role in themselves as a presenter for the internal television station MUTV from United.
An interview between the couple in 2011 helped in starting a thriving relationship between the couple, in which the couple married in Northern Ireland two years later.
When Evans chose to leave the club in 2015 to join Leicester, Helen chose to stay and continue to work within the MAN United media team in a role that she will keep.
Although the player has said goodbye to the home fans with the end of the Premier League season 2024/25, Evans may have a handful of more trips in United Red, after he has flown to Malaysia with the rest of Ruben Amorim's team to start the club after the season.
Mail Sport understands that the club is paid around £ 8 million for the trip, so that they will play in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and then in Hong Kong.
To start their tour, United will be confronted on 28 May opposite Asean All Stars in the 84,000 capacity Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur.
On 30 May they will close the trip with a collision against Hong Kong in the Hong Kong Stadium of 40,000 capacity.
Proovents are behind the Tour, which is presented by Snapdragon – United's Kit Sponsor.
United is obliged to release their players for international service on 31 May, with the Nationals League and World Cup qualifications that will be played at the beginning of June.
The Portugal of Bruno Fernandes, for example, has a semi-final showdown with Germany with Germany on 4 June.
Players and managers have criticized the increase in tours after the season – Gareth Southgate and Kieran Trippier are two remarkable names that have spoken against the new phenomenon.
The center of their complaints is that these extra games at the end of the season add an unnecessary physical burden for players after an already packed campaign with a fixture.
But the counter argument of fans is that many rarely have the chance to view their favorite team personally if the club did not have these tours.
