Bayern Munich have made it a matter of state to get a new contract over the line for Jamal Musiala, and it looks like they will manage to get one over the line. The Germany international is out of contract in 2026 and if he were to be out of contract next summer, Bayern would be back in a corner over his future.
Musiala was linked with Manchester City and Real Madrid in the summer, but talk of a move abroad has diminished in recent months as talks with Bayern progressed. The 21-year-old will be one of the key players for the Bavarian side in the coming years, with Florian Plettenberg reporting that a four- or five-year contract worth €25 million per season will be signed soon.
It is not clear how strong Real Madrid's interest was, apart from the interest they have in one of the best young players in the world. Considering there are only a few teams that can afford it and are of interest for Musiala, it is no surprise that Los Blancos were linked with him. It could also impact the future of Florian Wirtz, who is friends with Musiala and is tipped to leave Bayer Leverkusen next summer.
