What was meant as a holiday in Liverpool almost turned into tragedy. On Monday the players entered the UK in the UK, the players of Arne Slot stepped into an open bus to take the recently won Premier League trophy on a tour on the city.

Videos placed on social media show that the driver is erratic, zigzagging in pedestrians before the car came close to the strict.

A Merseyside Police statement was: “We are currently dealing with reports from an RTC (Road Traffic Collision) in the city center of Liverpool. We were contacted today at 6 pm, Monday, May, 26 May after the reports that had a car in collision with a number of pedestrians on Water Street.
Thousands of Liverpool had flooded the streets of the city to participate in a spectacular Tien-Mijl Parade from Allerton Maze to present the Premier League trophy-a historical, record equivalent 20th title.
At the end of the festivities, a car plowed into a group of supporters. After they had sustained several meters through the dense crowd, the vehicle stopped. Videos of the incident – which are the cause, remain unclear – have quickly become viral on social media. Some commentators expressed their concern that the driver seemed to be intentionally on pedestrians.
The business end of the city would have been silent with offices closed for the holiday May. It is unclear whether that part of Water Street had not been demolished to the traffic or whether the car had arrived via one of the side streets. A video posted on social media showed a car that drove through Water Street to the town hall and squeaked the Hoorn.

North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) has also released a statement about the incident and says: “NWAS supports an incident in the city center of Liverpool, after reporting a clash for traffic traffic. We are currently assessing the situation and working together with other members of the emergency services. Our priority is to ensure that they receive the medical help they receive.”
An air ambulance is on the spot near the landing phase at the Pierhoofd with reports that 13 people were injured.
Liverpool FC has issued a statement with the text: “We have direct contact with the Merseyside police with regard to the incident in Water Street that happened earlier tonight by the end of the trophy parade. Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by this serious incident.
