Ronaldo and Al-Nassr miss out on AFC Champions League Elite qualification

Al-Nassr missed the qualification for the AFC Champions League elite, because Fateh came twice from behind before the stunning Cristiano Ronaldo and the company with a 96th minute winner in the Saudi Pro League.

Al-Nassr went in the last match day of the campaign that needed a victory to get the chance to catch up Al-Hilal to finish second and take the final qualifying place.

Their hope was revived on Sunday, because they were given three points for a recent 2-1 loss for Al-Orouba, who turned out to have a non-intended player.

But they ended with a defeat despite the fact that she took the lead twice through Ronaldo and Sadio Mane. Ronaldo arrived unark on the distant pole to nod in a 42nd minute more open, although Matias Vargas pulled the level of the hosts with a close-range finish in the first half of the stop time.

After missing a few striking opportunities, Mane stopped the right-wing center of Nawaf Bu Washl to set Al-Nassr 2-1 in the 75th minute.

The beautiful free kick from Mourad Batna, however, already dragged FATEH level in the 81st minute, as a result of which Al-Nassr players threw forward in search of a winner.

They were caught in the sixth minute of the second half of the stopping time, with Matheus Machado getting home to the second attempt after his first shot was blocked.

In the end, even a victory would not have been enough to catch up Al-Hilal, who defeated Al-Qadsiah 2-0 thanks to goals from Aleksandar Mitrovic and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Mitrovic found the top left corner with a 25th minute penalty to put them in front, and then Milinkovic-Savic sealed the points with a neat finish over the goal in the second half.

Al-Hilal finished second, five points free from Al-Nassr, with the fourth placed Al-Qadsiah two points behind the Stefano Pioli team, who go to the AFC Champions League 2.

Champions Al-Sittihad meanwhile signed with a 1-0 win over Damac, where Steven Bergwijn cuts a finish over Florin Nita in the 72nd minute.

Reigning AFC Champions League Elite champions Al-Ahli in the meantime finished fifth after beating Al-Riyad with 1-0 through a 16th minute penalty from Ivan Toney, the 23rd competition goal of the English International of the season.

At the bottom, al-Okhdood relegated relegation through a fine of Mohammed Naif Saleh Al Jahif in the 15th minute of the second half of the stopping time, with Al-Wehda from a 2-1 defeat against Al-Etifaq, who scored a 96th-dute winner via Vitinho.

Debrief data: New Low for Al-Nassr, but comfort for Ronaldo

Ronaldo has been associated with a transfer away from the Saudi Pro League, in which FIFA president Gianni Infantino suggests that he could move to a participant in the coming Club World Cup.

If this was his last match for Al-Nassr, he went on a sour note and left the field to a choir of angry after Al-Nassr had recorded their worst Pro League finish since his arrival in 2022 (second in 2022-23 and 2023-24).

Ronaldo at least reached the consolation prize from the Golden Boot and finished 25 goals to dismiss Toney, after he also won it with 35 goals Last campaign.
