Levi Colwill said that Enzo Maresca was completely justified because he went back to Chelsea's critics after they returned to the Champions League next season
Levi Colwill has launched a passionate defense of the playing style of Enzo Maresca by standing on: “We are exciting.” Maresca told Chelsea “Eff You” critics after sealing a return to the Champions League on Sunday.
And now the youngest team in the Premier League history will crown their season of improvement by winning the conference competition against Real Betis tomorrow night. Colwill said that Maresca was 'completely the same' to hit back with those who have doubted his young team and their possession -based style.
And despite the fact that fans show their displeasure about Maresca's patient approach in recent weeks, Colwill said that the team “felt like one” with the fans when they were fourth place last weekend.
“People will always doubt us,” he said. “It's normal, we are used to it. Like the Gaffer said, he was completely right, we proved they were wrong.
“There is so much more to come. We are all great players and we know that. We get the experience we need and get better every day.”
The Center Back sets their difficulties to break down opponents as a result of that opponents are increasingly determined to defend deeply and it is “just not football” to expect free flows joy in every game.
