According to the last of BFM Marseille journalist Anthony Aubès, Olympique De Marseille Doel Aymeric Laporte (30) will end his contract with the current club Al-Nassr prior to a possible move to the Robert de Zerbi side.
La Provence reported a few weeks ago that the Phocéen Club was in advanced negotiations to sign the Spanish international, who moved to Suadi Arabia in 2023 for a reported € 30 million.
Marseille had previously tried to sign the defender in January and has since maintained contact with the defender.
The move used to be dependent on that direct Champions League qualification, which was secured during the last two games of the season with victories over Le Havre (3-1) and Rennes (4-2). Preparations are underway for the return of next season to European football, after Marseille had confirmed that Roberto de Zerbi will stay in the club this summer and is tailored to President Pablo Longoria and sports director Medhi Benatia.
