Matt Hughes scored a huge victory over one of the biggest grapplers of all time in Royce Gracie when they collided in a record fight at UFC 60.
Matt Hughes is generally considered to be one of the largest UFCwelterwichten of all time, and during his incredible UFC official period he was involved in some of the craziest fights in the history of promotion.
One of them came across Frank Trigg on UFC 52 in what a rematch of their UFC 45 fight was, and after Hughes scored a first round entry, UFC boss Dana White admitted that it is his favorite UFC fight of all time.
Not long after his huge victory over Trigg, Hughes was matched against perhaps the biggest grappler of all time in Royce Gracie.

Matt Hughes dominated Royce Gracie in record-setting UFC Clash
After he had defeated Georges St-Pierre to become the UFC champion Welterweight, Hughes successfully defended against Trigg and then defeated Joe Riggs in a non-title fight.
He was subsequently matched against the recurring Gracie on UFC 60 on 27 May 2006, again in a non-title fight, even though he was still the UFC champion of good weight.
Although he was best known for his dominant struggle, Hughes showed his struggle against the Brazilian early in the fight, who will always be known as one of the greatest grapers ever.
The American caught Gracie in a straight arm bar and tried to submit the Brazilian, but quickly moved to the Crucifix position where he rained on a clear ground and pound.
He then quickly switched to the back of Gracie and then flat him and started slaughtering him from the top position. After an extremely heavy ground and pound, the referee jumped in and stopped the fight.
On comment, UFC icon Joe Rogan was left speechlessly and simply proclaimed 'Wow', just like some famous celebrities in the crowd, including Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Paul Walker and Paris Hilton, among other things.
UFC 60 Set new promotional records with huge PPV sales
Not only was the event attended by some of the greatest celebrities in the world, but it was also viewed worldwide by hundreds of thousands of fans, who break promotional records.
The event attracted more than 620,000 PPV purchases, at the time became the best-selling PPV in the UFC history and was the first UFC event that broke the $ 20 million in the gross PPV sale.
Only four months later Hughes defended his title against BJ Penn on UFC 63 and scored a big finish.
