Fresh from winning the Super Lig, a heavily rotated Galatasaray side sealed a road victory at Goztepe, before he cancel the trophy the day after following large-scale parties. In the meantime, the search from Besiktas for Europa League football was completed despite still poor performance and results.
On the way to the weekend, both SamsunSpor and Besiktas had the opportunity to book their spots in the qualifying round of the Europa League with victories.
In the end, both teams achieved this goal, but not in the way they had expected.
Istanbul Basaksehir were their closest competitors for Europa League football, but somehow, with all three teams that start at the same time, they suffer a completely shocking 3-2 home defeat against Adana Demirspor.

Fans are really frustrated by the versions of Besiktas. Although their shape has ever been improved so lightly under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, they are still a pretty bad side and they really come up when they play Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.
Every time they come to teams on the table, there is just a lack of application and quality, and they struggle to break down teams that lean back and like to absorb pressure.
This season they seem to finish fourth in the Super Lig, and they have a lot of work to do in the summer. After a new manager bouncer, there has not been many positive signs under Solskjaer and the transfer window offers him the opportunity to shake things up.
In any other news, BodrumSpor was confirmed as the last team to be banned after a 1-1 draw at Kayserispor, where Rivals Alanyaspor won 2-1 at Konyaspor. After their promotion last season, Bodrum became the first team of Mugla to play in the Super Lig.
The season of Jose Mourinho and Fenerbahce is really roaring after they had sustained a 4-2 loss with relegated Hatayspor. They are now 11 points behind Champions Galatasaray.

On Saturday, a weakened Galatasaray team achieved a 2-0 victory at Goztepe, with various players who missed as eyes were firm on what were meteoric title celebrations the next day.
Allegedly, more than a million people gathered in the streets of Istanbul on Sunday afternoon, while players took an open bus through the city and celebrated their 25th Super Lig title and their third in a row.
They then took a boat to Yenikapi, where hundreds of thousands of dedicated fans waited for them to take a huge stage.
However, there was a bit of frustration around the event, because there seemed to be more attention to the singers who were invited in advance instead of the actual title celebrations.
With the rain that flowed down and apparently no end to the musicians, fans started to be fed up while they waited for the players to appear wherever they were.
In the end, the procedure was started, in which players and their families were revealed one by one to the joy of the fans. Some had waited for at least six hours, so they finally got the moment when they crave.
Rolland Sallai enthusiastically came to the song freed from Desire, Gabriel Sara did a belly slide, while Davinson Sanchez, Mario Lemina, Lucas Torreira, Victor Osimhen and Mauro Icardi received some of the loudest reactions. As you can imagine, the last one was in his element, he hypte the crowd and writhed Fenerbahce in the process with different songs.
There were also some really emotional moments. Dries Mertens walked outside with his wife Katrin Kerkhofs, with the couple in tears while they said goodbye to the fans they had treated as heroes during the three years that Mertens spent in the club. In addition to their son Ciro, they had become a beloved family in Galatasaray.
Fernando Muslera also stopped the tears as he knew goodbye. Muslera, a real legend of the club, joined in 2011 and has since been sensational in goal. Captain of the team, he won eight Super Ligtitels in his time and will be missed very much.
Eventually, after each player had his introductory moment, the real party started and the super lying trophy was brought on stage. The evening was perhaps an inconsistent affair with the rain and the musicians, but it ended in a high tone for all involved.

And an important reason for their victory was this really amazing free kick by Kaan Ayhan, who hit the ball in the top corner with expert precision and technology. Not a bad way to score your first goal of the season. Even Dries Mertens could not believe what he had just seen.
