Barcelona announce Lamine Yamal contract renewal

Barcelona announced today that Teenage Superstar Lamine Yamal has renewed his contract with the club, keeping it held in Barcelona in the long term. The new deal of the 17-year-old will come into practice when he turns 18 in July, with minor players limited to three-year contracts.

It is remarkable that the teenager of Barcelona will only be 23 years old when his new contract ends, which runs until 2031. Although agent Jorge Mendes and Lamine Yamal himself both had assured that he would indeed extend his contract and commit his future to the club, the Blaugrana were probably enthusiastic to avoid things from other clubs as soon as possible. Director of Football Deco had confirmed that Paris Saint-Germain had asked him for him last summer.

Although Deco also denied that Lamine had asked Yamal to be the best -paid player in the team, his new wages plus the bonuses in his deal that reaching the variables would bring him to that category.
