She was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she grew up with her mother, a massage therapist and her father, a preacher. This gave her the nickname 'The Preacher's daughter' in the UFC.

Holm will fight against Yolanda Vega on the undercard of the Jake Paul vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr -Fight, hoping to store the undefeated challenger in her first fight since 2013.

One of the greatest disturbances in the UFC history was in 2015 when Holly Holm Ronda Rousey switched off to put an end to her dominant rule in the Bantam weight department of the UFC ladies.
Rousey was the unbeaten champion who went to UFC 193 and was considered one of the greatest female hunters in the UFC history.
She had dominated all her opponents so far, but struggled when she stood against a strong striker like the former boxer.
Holm played Rousey in the 2nd round of their collision, with a staircase in the neck that ended the fight and won the fight of the night bonus.

Holm's last UFC fight took place on UFC 300, where she lost to Kayla Harrison through the entry in the second round.
