Wolverhampton Wanderers Top scorer Matheus Cunha is set to leave the club for Manchester United in a deal with a big money after an impressive season for the Premier League side
Wolves star Matheus Cunha has given colleagues Joao Gomes and Andre a Rolex watch for each for his approaching move to Manchester United. The Brazilian international is about to leave Molineux for Old Trafford in a deal with a value of £ 62.5 million, and thanked its countrymen with every farewell gift.
Both players shared photos of the gifts on Instagram. Gomes also shared the personal message he received from Cunha, whose exit is expected to be made more instead of being officially made later, as well as images of Andre who received his own gift.
“Thanks for all the moments, you will always be in my heart,” was the message. 'I will always be in love with you and your family. I love you. ” “
Andre, who was regularly in his first Wolves season, also shared his own message for Cunha. “I am sure you will shine wherever you go, my friend, may God bless you and your family wherever you go,” he wrote.
The reimbursement of £ 62.5 million represents the Cunha release clause, which he agreed to sign a contract extension with his current club halfway through the season. United is expected to pay the sum for different episodes instead of all in the front,
“What an incredible season,” Cunha wrote in its own social media post after the last weekend of the season. “We did not come where you deserve to be, but we have done everything to make you proud. I love these guys.
“Individually it was the best season of my life. All this was only possible because of all the dedication and love I have for this club. I became the Brazilian with the most goals in a Premier League season, along with @roberto_firmino and @gabriel.Martinelli.
“I made mistakes and did things well, but always because I lived this club so much. The only thing I ever wanted was to do the impossible for wolves. Another is over. And thanks all for all affection. Looks good, looks good …”
The upcoming movement of Cunha comes despite the fact that United Champions League has missed football. Ruben Amorim's side finished 15th in the table, above wolves on goal difference, after he had demanded the victory over Aston Villa in their last game.
United had a potential route back to Europe after reaching the final of the Europa League. However, they were short of Tottenham in the final, which means that the side of Ange Postecoglou will play in the Champions League of next season and the men of Amorim will not have any European football.
The last day victory came across a 10-man Villa side, who saw keeper Emi Martinez leave for an error on Rasmus Hojlund. Amad broke the impasse, with Christian Eriksen who added a late second of the penalty spot.
