The under-21 manager Ben Wilkinson of Manchester City will join Pep Guardiola's back room team for the club's World Cup.
Wilkinson, the son of former Leeds -Baas Howard, led the youngsters from the city to the Premier League 2 title -defeated Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United in the play -off phase before he overstood Southampton in this month's final.

Wilkinson's invitation to be part of Guardiola's staff before the summer points to a large number of young people who make the journey. His role will be comparable to that of Barry-Murphy's earlier, with a responsibility in setting up the Academy players in the form of opposition.
Divin Mubama, Divine Mukasa, Reigan Heskey, Ryan McAidoo and Stephan Mfuni belong to those who have shown at age group levels.
“More than whatever, I think it justifies the work we have done all year round,” said Wilkinson after achieving the Premier League 2 title.
“There have also been a number of great possibilities to stretch the players and place them in the area that we want them to experience.”
