Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim admitted that his side “needs the anger” after they had sustained a 1-0 defeat against Asean All-Stars in the first match of their tour after the season.
After ending their disappointing Premier League campaign with a 2-0 win over Aston Villa, United flew to Malaysia to participate in a tour after the season.
But it was again an overwhelming display of the Red Devils, where Maung Maung Lwin scored the only goal in the Bukit Jalil National Stadium.
Amorim's team ended the match with an expected goals (XG) in total only 1.16 of their 19 shots, of which only four were on goal.
After the full -time whistle, you could hear in the stadium with fans who express their opinion after another bad display during Amorim's term of office.
Amorim, however, believes that it will do its players well to leave Kuala Lumpur with the sound of angry in their ears.
“I always feel guilty. I said that in the last game. I am always guilty of the performance of the team. Whatever happens. Because I am here for the first day, I am guilty,” Amorim said.
“Then the fans are angry that we need, because every game we lost in the Premier League, they were always there.
“So it's as if the way they see does not work, they will change the way they behave.
“But then I felt that we were ready, walking away and, every time, the supporters were with us. Again, let's wait for the next season.”

United finished 15th in the Premier League, on 42 points – accepted as the worst campaign of the club since the 1973-74 relegation season.
They also suffered 20 defeats in all competitions, their most since losing 22 in 1973-74, with their last defeat in the Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur.
“Of course we should perform better. We were slow and we must have it in us to win every exercise in training and every game,” Amorim added.
“But the most important thing is that we had no injuries. Some players were a risk, but we wanted to respect all the fans who put all the players into play.
“We have to win these games, but we'll continue.”
Amorim also held his cards close to his chest about the future of Wolves Vooruit Matheus Cunha, who was associated with a move to Old Trafford.
It has been reported that the Red Devils have met the conditions of Cunha's £ 62.5 million release clause after the Brazilian had enjoyed a nice individual campaign.
Cunha scored 15 times in the Premier League last season, seven more than the top scorers of United in the competition (Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo, both eight).
“You have to wait for the next season,” Amorim added.
“It is something for you, also to take the opportunity to use, because it is your time, but I will not confirm anything. I have no news. We will see, but there will be some changes.”
