Chelsea came from behind to beat Real Betis 4-1 and to win the conference competition in Poland on Wednesday evening.
The blues were behind within nine minutes when Isco Steed on Abde Ezzalzouli, where the winger produced a smart finish to defeat Filip Jorgensen.
Betis had further chances to expand their lead before the break, which took Enzo Maresca action while he stuck captain Reece James during the rest.
The men of Maresca came out with a renewed goal in the second half and attracted level with 25 minutes to go when Enzo Fernandez led the teasing cross of Cole Palmer home. Six minutes later, the turnaround was complete when Palmer wound himself away from his husband and crossed to Nicolas Jackson to offer the finishing touch before Jadon Sancho and Moises Caicedo ended the victory with late goals.
So, who delivered the largest stage? And who had a night to forget?
Jack Gaughan from Mail Sport was present in Wroclaw to assess the players.
Real betis
Adrian 6 – lightning from his line in Vegen when the La Liga side led. Did the ex-Livepool stopper done better for the equalizer?
Youssouf Sabaly 6 – Treated very well with Noni Madueke, who stood up the winger, but looked tired and long -legged when he was later confronted in the piece by Jadon Sancho.
Marc Bartra 6 – Still a stylish customer in following space at 34, the former central defender of Barcelona was reasonable until the run of Enzo Fernandez lost.
Natan 6 – Hugo Block to bend a Reece James Rocket Wide while Chelsea rose pressure after the break. Probably should know that Nicolas Jackson was the second behind him.
Ricardo Rodriguez 6.5 – Willing Runner Links, always available for an overlap. Did not seem overly disturbing by Pedro Neto or Madueke.
Pablo Fornals 6.5 – While the loose pass of Malo Gusto was indefensible, the consciousness of Fornals to make possession about high on the field crucial in the opening goal.
Johnny Cardoso 5.5 – seemed to have no problems in the opening period, but lost his bearings later when his party surrendered the territory.
Isco 7.5 – Had run the game in a masterful way until Chelsea took over. Nice inverted pass, perfectly weighed, to put Abde Ezzalzouli away for the first goal.
Antony 4.5 – A huge amount of hype around the leniaat of Manchester United in advance, but he flatted to cheat and was anonymous all night.
Cedric Bakumbu 5.5 – was missing after some neat link -up game when depositing the front, especially when firing a rare beet break in the last third part of Chelsea.
Abde Ezzalzouli 7 – Super finish opposite Filip Jorgensen for the opener and was the most dangerous on the field before being enforced with an injury.
Subs
Romain Perraud (for Rodriguez, 46) – 6
Jesus Rodriguez (for Ezzalzouli, 53) – 5
Aitor Ribal (for Bakambu, 72) – 6
Sergi Altimira (for Cookers, 85)
Giovanni Lo Celso (for Cardoso, 85)
Manager
Manuel Pellegrini 5.5 – could have become the oldest manager ever to eliminate a European trophy, but did not respond enough when the tide turned after the break.
Chelsea
Filip Jorgensen 6 – not actually so much to do – mainly because Chelsea later carried out more control in the game. Could not do anything about the finish of Ezzalzouli.
Malo Gusto 4 – put his name wrong on the test. Absent without leave while Ezzalzouli flashed past Jorgensen. Gave the ball away in the structure and never recovered.
Trevoh Chalobah 7 – New England -Man calm enough pressure and made some crucial interceptions. Maybe the ball used better and faster.
Benoit Badiashile 7 – Huge block to save verve in preventing Cardoso that doubles the betis lead halfway through the first half. Put itself at stake.
Marc Cucurella 7.5 – Handy stuck to his task on the Chelsea Links, against an in -shape Antony. Perhaps it should have been reversed as a full back instead of verve.
MOISES CAICEDO 7 – With the label the 'Best midfielder in the (Premier) League' by Steve Sidwell on TNT in advance, Caicedo could not come close to Isco. But then she improved enormously and scored in a stop time.
Enzo Fernandez 8 – Started in the periphery. But someone with 20 goals and assists this season would always have a say. Large header to equalize and a late assist.
Noni Madueke 6.5 – threatened to produce when hardened by the name rule and was a real danger, although it got very little change from his markers.
Cole Palmer 8.5 – showed his pure class. Keep coming deep to pick up possession in an attempt to influence the game and finally ended with two beautiful assists.
Pedro Neto 6.5 – diligently largely from the right wing without producing that murderous ball to feed Nicolas Jackson or runners from the middle of midfield.
Nicolas Jackson 7 – starved from a real service early, so when notes arrived, Jackson was a bit rushed to produce something. Then his moment came, chest houses.
Subs
Reece James (for Gusto, 46) – 7
Jadon Sancho (for Neto, 61) – 7.5
Levi Colwill (for Badiashile, 62) – 6.5
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (for Jackson, 80)
Marc Guiu (for Palmer, 88)
Manager
Enzo Maresca 6.5 – realized that he chose the wrong team to start and correct it during the break with the introduction of James, which gave Chelsea Impetus to turn the game around.
