Tah completes Bayern switch after leaving Leverkusen

Jonathan Tah has signed a four -year contract with Bayern Munich after leaving Bayer Leverkusen.

The 28-year-old, who made 402 performances for Leverkusen, has joined Bayern with a free transfer.

Tah helped Leverkusen to win the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal in 2023-24, while they ended this period in second in the competition behind Bayern.

“I am very happy to be at FC Bayern. I want to take responsibility for this and work hard every day, so that we are successful as a team and win many trophies,” Tah said.

Tah started his senior career in Hamburg and joined Leverkusen in 2015, so that he debuted his Germany during his first year in the club and gave 35 international performances.

“We have taken over a player with international experience and quality, who does not need much time to settle in our defense,” said Christoph Freund, Sporting Director of Bayern.

This season, Tah 2295 Passen, the fifth highest total in the competition, registered by 93%.
