Both women had great ambitions after they had hit the ground in the UFC as two blue-chip perspectives that hoped to reach the top of the sport in record time.

During their first victory in the UFC there was a conversation around both Blanchfield and Maycee Barber with regard to the youngest champion in the history of the promotion.
The record is still in the hands of Jon Jones after he defeated Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua at UFC 128 to win the light heavyweight title when he was only 23 years and 8 months old.
Both women could not break this record for various reasons, with their first losses in the Octagon that marked the end of this chase.

Blanchfield won six fights in a row, but even after beating former Taila Santos title, she was unable to fight for the belt because of the constant trilogy between Valentina Shevchenko and Alexa Grasso.
This made her unable to break the record of Jones, but she could still have jumped for the record of Rose Namajunas (25 years and 4 months) as the youngest female UFC champion of all time.
Her loss against Manon Fiorot in March last year stopped this to happen when she suffered her first UFC against 24 years and 10 months old.
Barber, on the other hand, won three fights in a row before her momentum was stopped by the #7-ranged Roxanne Modafferi in a huge upset at UFC 246 in January 2020.
The emerging competition was then only 21 years and 8 months old, but her return the following year, which could have put her back on the right track, also resulted in a defeat (Alexa Grasso at UFC 258).

Jon Jones and Rose Namajunas are the youngest male and female UFC hunters to hold the gold, but there is a reservation for this.
