Amad hopes Garnacho stays at Manchester United

Amad Diallo hopes that Alejandro Garnacho will stay in Manchester United for next season, because they 'need good players in the team'.

Rumors about a potential summer transfer for Garnacho raged after the last defeat of United's Europa League against Tottenham.

The Argentinian attacker expressed his disappointment after he started the final on the couch and only arrived late in the second half.

Reports then claimed that Ruben Amorim Garnacho had announced that he had to look for a new club.

In anticipation of United's friendly match against Hong Kong, Amad made it clear that he wanted Garnacho to stay while the club has to hold their good players.

Amad said: “Alejandro is a really good player and we need good players in the team. I know Garna very well, so I hope to have garna next season.

“It's not really a big problem for the team. Everything is good now, I think.”

Garnacho played 57 times for United this season, scored 10 goals and assisted 11.

Amorim said it is not a single explanation to see Garnacho on tour with the team.

“It's no surprise,” said Amorim.

“He is a player from Manchester United, all players are here. Some players are injured and it was better for them not to fly here to play these two games. It is a normal situation.”

United will face Hong Kong, the second and final game of their Asia tour after the season on 30 May. They lost 1-0 to the Asean All Stars in their first game.
