During his time in the lightweight division of the UFC Vocht Tony Ferguson against many of the top names.
The incredible win -streak of 'El Cucuy' led him to the interim light weight title that should have seen his path cross with Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Both men were at the top of their games around the same time, but fans never saw that Ferguson and Nurmagomedov were the face in one of the most expected matchups in the sport.
He also did not get the opportunity to fight against the other large star, which at the same time competed at 155 pounds despite various Conor McGregor call -outs.

Tony Ferguson says that after Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor, he would run back his fight with Justin Gaethje
On UFC 249, the winning series of Tony Ferguson ended by Justin Gaethje after a one-sided fight in which 'the highlight' won the interim title.
'El Cucuy' was originally booked to unite the belts against Khabib Nurmagomedov, but when 'The Eagle' could not make the date because of the travel restrictions of the COVID-19 Pandemie, Ferguson chose to stay on the map to risk his place as the next in line.
The decisive loss would eventually be a huge turning point in his career, with the former champion of one of the biggest winning stripes of the division to the longest losing series in the history of UFC with 8 consecutive defeats.

Ferguson recently told the SchMO in an interview that Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor would still be at the top of his Hitlist if he could go back in time for another fight.
Then he would choose to do the fight with Gaethje again, so that he could correct some of the mistakes he made and change the events that took place as a result of the outcome.
“Oh son of ab —-, you called them both. Yes, of course it would be a combination plate of McNuggets and Tiramisu, that would really do it. But if I could go back and fight another time, it would be Gaethje and I would actually give back and against that fight.
“I would not go toe-toe, I would fight against my fight, as I should change and change the future and see how it would go from that moment. But I don't want to be able to go so far before I could see what that would change.”
Tony Ferguson was an absolute monster at 155 pounds for his loss against Justin Gaethje
Tony Ferguson's fall in the form after his loss against Justin Gaethje was so amazing that if he could go back and UFC 249 could do again, he knows what it could have led to.
His UFC career ended on disappointing fashion, but before this career-changing defeat, 'El Cucuy' was one of the most dangerous and entertaining hunters on the Roster.
Ferguson was unbeaten from 2013-2020 and bounced back from a loss to Michael Johnson in 2012 by going an absolute tear.
