Alex Pereira has received a decent shot to beat UFC Champ Magomed Ankalaev.
The UFC Light Heavyweight title changed owner earlier this year when Pereira lost to Ankalaev in the main event of UFC 313.
The unanimous decision victory of Magomed Ankalaev meant an awkward end for Pereira's legendary title rule, one that the Brazilian saw four times defending four times in 11 months.
Alex Pereira will probably meet Ankalaev this year in an immediate rematch of the title and tries to take revenge on the second UFC hunter to beat him.
Former middleweight champion Sean Strickland believes that Pereira has a 'legitimate shot' to recover the title, just like Pereira's greatest rival Israel Adesanya, the only man of Ko Pereira in the UFC.

Israel Adesanya says that Alex Pereira 'can get it' in Magomed Ankalaev Rematch
Looking at a potential rematch between Pereira and Ankalaev, Adesanya says that he could not be happier for 'Patan' and everything he achieved in the UFC in such a short time.
“I am so proud of the man what he did,” Adesanya said about Pereira on Freestylender.
“It is as if I made a monster,” Adesanya remembered how he is responsible for Pereira who entered the UFC.
“He showed why he is who he is in two weight classes – I can't wait to see the next fight with him and Ankalaev again.
'I think it's another difficult one, but I think [Pereira] Can get it done, “Adesanya added.

While Pereira was surpassed by Ankalaev on the feet, Pereira defended all 12 of the Takedown attempts by Ankalaev at UFC 313.
UFC legend Don Frye advises Alex Pereira to take free
There is no doubt that Pereira was one of the most active champions in the UFC history, after he had defended the belt three times last year.
After his title loss in March, Pereira can be on his way to a much needed break after he reportedly rejected an immediate rematch with Ankalaev on UFC 317.
UFC Hall of Famer Don Frye hopes in the interest of Pereira that he will not get out of the bank too quickly.
“If you are injured, take the time and heal,” Frye said about the current situation of Pereira.
“I never did that. I always have, I just stabbed the pills and continued, fighting through it.
“That made my career as -.
“Find out that the promoter cannot save,” Frye continued.
“They don't blend about you. I don't have a Christmas card or birthday card from a promoter ever and I made them all a lot of money.
