SPURS transfer Q&A: Futures of Postecoglou, Cristian Romero and Tel assessed

Tottenham will play Champions League football next season after winning the Europa League, so that they have a huge summer forward with the future of Ange Postecoglou still uncertain. Michael Bridge from Sky Sports News answers your questions in our transfer Q&A.

'Not yet a decision about the future of Ange'

Clintyboy77: How much will Tottenham's transfer budget be in total now they have Champions League football?

Michael Bridge: It's hard to say an exact figure now. There is still a lot in the air and they are early days.

A lot has to be processed with clarity needed on the situation of Ange Postecoglou, new agreements at the board level and expenditure in the first team.

Tony Varghese: Do you expect Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to go with the majority and Back Postecoglou, or lower the ties with him with him in the summer?

Michael Bridge: There is still no decision about Postecoglou. The Australian is currently on vacation. It has been a very long season – a season like no other. I would like to see season three.

Ken: Will Daniel Levy probably offer the funds that Tottenham needs to kick better and perform better next season?

Michael Bridge: I believe so. All clubs know the limitations of the profit and sustainability rules, but have to strengthen Spurs to continue, and I am convinced that they will do that.

'Spurs need more experienced players'

Christian THFC: Will the club sign more experienced this summer, experience experienced players?

Michael Bridge: I think the club needs players with Champions League experience.

The current team is not ready for Champions League football from a distance. Teenagers Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray have had a full year under their belts, but they are still young.

Adding more experience will be the key. Not necessarily means age, but players who have played at the highest level and can juggle with Champions League football and the Premier League.

They also need much fewer injuries. Spurs really struggled to put together a team around the Christmas period until February, which killed every hope of a decent competition season.

I think that experience is of the utmost importance in this transfer window, and perhaps less emphasis will be on buying for the future.

'Wide forward a position that is being considered'

TM: Which areas want to strengthen traces and should the club sell to buy?

Michael Bridge: Spurs does not have to sell to buy, with Champions League qualification enormously for the club. All areas, apart from the goalkeeper department, will be viewed.

Midfield and Vooruit would be the priority if Cristian Romero remains.

Semiosis: Is another creative or box-to-box midfielder a priority to bind this season? If so, who or what type of player profile?

Michael Bridge: I think that is certainly an area where traces are looking at.

A broad attacker will also be considered. With Captain Heung-Min Son who will probably play fewer matches, no guarantees about whether Mathys Tel will have his loan moved from Bayern Munich permanently, and the annoying injury of Dejan Kulusevsky, it is a priority position for me.

D: Can Leroy Sane de Wide be forward?

Michael Bridge: He is offered to Spurs and Arsenal, but can also stay in Bayern Munich. I don't think Spurs will sign him.

Lwazi: Is RB Leipzig -striker Benjamin Sesko a target for traces?

Michael Bridge: I would say unlikely for about £ 85 million to £ 90 million.

'Eze and Guehi admired by Spurs'

Sam: Will the Ebereechi Eze from Crystal Palace come to Spurs? And is there real interest?

Michael Bridge: Eze has had admirers at Spurs for a long time, but he is a player Crystal Palace and Eagles -Baas Oliver Glasner are determined to keep.

European football in Selhurst Park will help them, while Palace is much more likely to listen to offers for defender Marc Guehi than Eze.

CEO1994: If Cristian Romero goes, how likely is it that the Spurs sign Marc Guehi?

Michael Bridge: Spurs such as Guehi – A big bid was made for him against the end of the winter window – and he is home -grown. But Champions League qualification means that it is by no means certain that Romero will continue.

Tottenham tried for both Guehi and Fikayo Tomori in January, but it is still to be seen whether they will go back for both players.

'Atletico Madrid very enthusiastic about Romero'

Richard C: And shall we probably see controversial departure? Romero now makes sounds that suggest that he will stay, but perhaps Richarlison to raise money? Solanke has done a good job, but should be a second choice.

Michael Bridge: I am a big fan of Romero and for me Spurs have missed his bite when they have lost the semi -final and the final in recent years.

It costs him a very large fee to be sold, despite his contract length.

Atletico Madrid is very enthusiastic about Romero, and it is understandable that he would be interested, especially with colleague Argentinian Diego Simeone.

But Romero also has an excellent relationship with Postecoglou, and his Instagram post after winning the Europa League was positive. He wrote: “We must continue; this is the path”.

Postecoglou also publicly said that the club should keep Romero because he is a “winner”.

In the meantime, I think Spurs would listen to offers for Richarlison, but the club is very happy with Dominic Solanke.

'No decisions on count or recurring loan players yet'

Alfie Waites: Is there a possibility that Mathys Tel permanently signs at the end of his loan?

Michael Bridge: No decision has yet been made on Tel, where Tottenham has an option of £ 45 million to buy.

Harrydeb: What are the plans for the recurring loan players?

Michael Bridge: I would imagine that Manor Solomon and Bryan Gil will find new clubs, but no decision has been made on Solomon or one of the players on loan.

Like most situations at Spurs, things in the air are not yet a decision about the future of the manager.

Solomon had a brilliant season at Leeds and helped them to get promotion back to the Premier League.

Josh Keeley and Jamie Donley, who were both on loan to Leyton Orient Leyton Orient, and Will Lankshear, who returns from West Brom, will strive for championship loans.

Your views before the transfer window of Spurs

Dking: At the moment there is only one question and it has to be answered quickly by the club to tackle uncertainty: does Ange Postecoglou remain? Then planning can begin.

Prijk: Our form this season shows that we are unfortunate to tackle multiple competitions, especially with the continuous injuries. We need about 10 players, assuming that six or so leave: Sergio Reguilon, Ben Davies, Richarlison, Yves Bissouma, Timo Werner and perhaps Cristian Romero.

Zach Gifford: Tottenham has to sign Ebereechi and a no. 6 to compete for more trophies.

James G: Whatever our transfer budget is, it must be Premier League-Covered players who come in to improve the 11. Ebereechi Eze, Carlos Baleba, Antoine Semenyo are all players we need and in positions in which we are not good enough.

Stephen Berry: We absolutely need a top player of the midfield, someone who can come across and get the tackles, I suggest that I return Conor Gallagher to England.

George94: Keep Ange Postecoglou. Draw ebereechi eze. Draw permanent Kevin Danso. Draw Mathys Tel permanent. Sign Leroy Sane.

Pete Challis: Spurs clearly needs a decent keeper. Would they ever go for Ramsdale? Probably the best available.

John Cook: Nobody can deny that Spurs has had a terrible season in the competition. If we had played another team in the final, we would be defeated. As the match against Brighton showed, nothing has really changed. How can Ange get a different season?

Simonlpz: Is there a recognition that a top club should be able to compete to completely abandon a trophy without their competition campaign? Seems too easy to have been an excuse, especially some games at the end of the season.

Christian THFC: After the club realizes their mistakes after such a terrible competition season and the extra demands of the Champions League and more experienced players signed this summer? I cannot tolerate any defeats of 22 competition and I hope the players can't do that either.

TJC: Go and get Joao Palhinha from Bayern Munich and Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford!
