Sean O'Malley knew that something had been eliminated in his first fight with Merab Dvalishvili.
In a week from now on, the former UFC Bantamweight Champion will try to put an error against Merab Dvalishvili in the main event of UFC 316.
Sean O'Malley allowed his world title to DvalishVili last September at UFC 306 after a tumultuous training camp. A torn labblessure made it so that O'Malley could not really struggle in preparation for the busy wrestler.
However, the injury was not the only thing that O'Malley bothered in the run -up to his second defending defense.
Days before the fight on the ball, O'Malley received an ominous sign that he would lose from Dvalishvili.

Sean O'Malley feared the worst after a dead owl appeared in its driveway before UFC 306
Speaking on the entire podcast, O'Malley says that he has had some connection with owls, the animal tattooed on his chest.
Before he was confronted with Petr Yan in 2022, O'Malley said that an owl was sitting with him and he took it as a sign of happiness, later beating yan by a split decision on UFC 280.
UFC 306 was a completely different story.
“Owls have come in and out of my life in a strange way,” said O'Malley.
“I have a couple of owls who live around me in these trees, so I see them quite often.
“Ten days before the Merab fight there was a dead owl in my driveway,” O'Malley revealed.
“I had something like that, that can't be good …
“I didn't want to think about that and it sounds crazy, but I had something like that, f -. I just didn't feel that I had to fight that f -” O'Malley said about Dvalishvili on UFC 306.
Sean O'Malley may focus on the body of Merab Dvalishvili on UFC 316
Although Sean O'Malley was unable to lift his hand against Merab Dvalishvili, there are a few things that the former champion can take away from UFC 306.
In round 5, O'Malley Dvalishvili visibly hurt with a Teep -Kick to the belly that 'the machine' had around the cage to recover.
O'Malley continued to land on Dvalishvili with stairs and punches to the body, one shot at the same time.
Prior to his rematch with Dvalishhvili on UFC 316, O'Malley brought attacks to the body in new training images.
“Something was seen in that 5th round of the first fight,” said a fan about O'Malley who worked his body shots.
“The only time Sean Merab hurt in fighting was through a body shot. Smart training,” said another fan about O'Malley.
