A UFC Vegas 107 star has supported Charles Oliveira to become a double UFC light weight champion when he heads the International Vecht Week against Ilia Topuria.
In addition to news that Islam Makhachev will leave the lightweight belt to go to Welterweight, UFC CEO Dana White revealed the next title fight of the 155-pound division at the beginning of May.
Former featherweight Kingpin Topuria will fight against Oliveira for the empty crown in the main event of UFC 317 on 28 June.
Despite its relative inexperience in the weight class compared to 'Do Bronx', which is one of the former champions at 155 pounds, Topuria is strong to add a second UFC title to his collection.
One of the top names of the division, however, leans against 'El Matador'.
A dream will come out on 28 June. I will be the champion of the lightweight division. Charles, my apologies in advance … I just fight for my dreams. It is a pity that Makhachev ran away. 17-0 🌹 pic.twitter.com/ysuthz4u2h

Mateusz Gamrot chooses Charles Oliveira to defeat Ilia Topuria because of the 'advantage' size
Prior to his return to action at UFC Vegas 107 on Saturday, Mateusz Gamrot answered questions from reporters during the Mediadag.
The number 7 arranged lightweight competition was not surprisingly asked to view an example of the next title fight in his division, and 'Gamer' gave an interesting explanation for supporting Oliveira.
“Very interesting matchup. Both boys have strength and skills to win. Ilia can eliminate him.
“Oliveira, he certainly has heavy hands. But also, Charles Oliveira has many good tools to defeat Ilia; on the ground, on the feet, everywhere.
“I think Oliveira is a very big guy. Ilia is a short guy. I think this [size] Is much different for both boys. I think this will be an advantage for Charles Oliveira and he gets the victory. “
Charles Oliveira is not worried about the renowned power of Ilia Topuria
Just like Gamrot, Oliveira does not take much knowledge of his underdog status when assessing his chances of taking the title home on 28 June.
The favorite of the Brazilian fan is no stranger to disturb the opportunities after he has risen from the relative darkness in the UFC to the Glorie Championship against the most expectations.
And despite the man who faced both Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway in 2024, Oliveira is not worried.
“I don't care much about what people say … that's the reality,” Oliveira said completely violence. “I know [Topuria’s] A man who hits hard, but he is talking about the lightweight category, the harder category.
“I fought against Justin Gaethje and everyone said he was the man who hit harder, and when I did that, he went down. I believe in the power of fire in the hands I have, so let's wait. On the 28th we will meet.”
Oliveira will look to prove so much by eating everything that Topuria throws his way away Come Fight Night in Las Vegas, on the way to a long -awaited return to the lightweight throne.
