Khabib Nurmagomedov’s manager rejects Jon Jones’ inclusion on MMA Mount Rushmore with three-word response

Not everyone sees UFC star Jon Jones as a candidate for goat status in mixed martial arts.

Currently, Jones' avoidance of Tom Aspinall and the heavyweight title Unification Fight caused a commotion in the community. The resident of Rochester is accused of holding the belt 'hostage'.

More than 150,000 fans have even taken things in their own hands by signing a petition in which the UFC is called to strip Jones of the gold, which he defended only twice since he won it more than two years ago.

'Bones' is no stranger to take up with his actions, many of which have come in the form of legal controversies, away from the cage.

Ali Abdelaziz References Jon Jones has failed drug tests in response to MMA Mount Rushmore Selection

In addition to the debate about the greatest of all time, the MMA Mount Rushmore is discussed, while hunters, fans and analysts choose their four top stars and pioneers from the sport.

A mainstay in selections was Jones, who broke the record after record on his way to two -division glory and largely unparalleled greatness in the octhoek.

That trend recently continued with an MMA page on X, which placed Jones alongside Anderson Silva, Georges St-Pierre and Fedor Emelianenko.

Whether because of the inclusion of Jones or the omission of his client, the manager of Khabib Nurmagomedov expressed his dissatisfaction.

“Cheater is not allowed,” wrote Ali Abdelaziz as an answer.

Ali Abdelaziz insisted that Khabib Nurmagomedov is the goat about 'Cheater' Jones

Abdelaziz probably refers to the history of the heavyweight champion with performance -enhancing drugs.

Before Jones' planned UFC 200 Rematch with Daniel Cormier was planned, he was suspended for a year after he tested positively on Hydroxy-Clomifen. And Jones' second victory over 'DC' on UFC 214 was later destroyed to a NO match after he had tested positively on the anabolic steroid Turinabol.

For that reason, Abdelaziz has long pushed back on the claim of White that 'Bones' is the greatest of all time, instead who places that crown on Nurmagomedov.

“I agree with Dana White about everything. This one, I don't agree with him,” Abdelaziz told TMZ in 2024.

“Khabib has never cheated. … [He] One round lost in his entire career, more than 100 rounds that he fluid, never fell, never have a bloody eye, never have a bloody nose. He is the man who has never been touched. '

With such subjectivity, it is clear that the debate will roll forever and split the opinion within the MMA community.

For some, however, it seems that a potential pension before the heavyweight title against Aspinall can influence the legacy of Jones.
