PSG fans teargassed as UCL celebrations boil over

Chaos broke out in the streets of Paris after PSG's Champions League celebrations about his cooked – with football ultras that caused and clash with the police.

Thousands of supporters flowed to hotspots around the city to toast the thumping 5-0 victory of their side against Inter Milan in Munich.

But grim images that are shared on social media let rose officers use tranengas and charge for criminals with their clubs in skirmishes, while different fires also outbreak.

Confrontations took place outside the Parc des Princes, where the one -sided final was blasted on large screens, and on the Champs Elysees. The police covered in full riot equipment that dived on supporters who had thrown bottles and let go of fireworks.

The party on the iconic champions Elysees took a dark turn and forced officers equipped with bates and shields to clamber in an attempt to spread the crowd.

The ugly scenes during the historic competition led Minister of the Interieur Bruno Retailleeau to claim that 'Barbarians' entered into the streets of Paris'.

French firefighters were also put in action near the Parc des Princes with images that seem to show bicycles and mattresses on fire, so that thick smoke stood in the air.

Plans to use 5,400 police officers and gendarmes in the capital were present after the final was classified by the authorities as a risky event. In an attempt to solve potential problems, the area around the Arc de Triomphe was closed for traffic.

Various other roads were also closed, including the Champs Elysees.

To X to comment on the condition, a distinct retailleau said: 'Real PSG fans are becoming enthusiastic about the wonderful performance of their team.

'In the meantime, Barbarians have crossed the streets of Paris to commit crimes and to provoke law enforcement.

'I asked the internal security forces to respond strongly to this abuse.

'I offer my support to the prefect of the police and all police officers who guarantee the safety of everyone tonight.

“It is unbearable that it is not possible to party without being afraid of the cruelty of a minority of criminals who do not respect anything.”
