‘I don’t think you can say that…’ Paddy Pimblett defended by a UFC legend after rival’s ‘handouts’ allegation

Paddy Pimblett is not short of enemies in the UFC.

Pimblett has carried out since he has joined MMA's leading promotion on the back of the titles success under the banner of Cage Warriors.

'The Baddy' has so far remained unbeaten in the UFC by seven fights, and the performance and comments of the scouser have fueled a lot of rivalry along the way.

From Pimblett's near-Brawl with Ilia Topuria to his exchanges with people like Renato Moicano, a number of feud can reach the cage along the line.

The person who is now the most discussed is with the best competition of the lightweight division, who has made his contempt for Pimblett Clear.

It was clear that you spoke about trash with zero intention to support it. Your UFC career is built on hand -outs, hype and shortcuts to the top. https://t.co/N1UI7KM3AO

Chael Sonnen rejects Arman Tsarukyan's criticism on Paddy Pimblett

The Word War of Pimblett with Arman Tsarukyan was more heated after the dominant victory of the Liverpudlian over Michael Chandler on UFC 314 in April.

This year, Tsarukyan led a public fight against 'The Baddy' this year, but that callout was rejected. Instead, Pimblett has his sights on Justin Gaethje, predictively that they will fight in October.

The Armenian, clearly reassured by the reaction, launched a strong tier against Pimblett, who, according to him, received 'hand -outs' by the organization.

But the validity of that claim is strongly questioned by the former UFC title -day Chael Sonnen.

“I have heard other boys say similar things about paddy, but is it true?” Sonen said. “No, it's not.

“Paddy did not have more title shots than he should have had in his career at the moment, he has had no more important events than he should have had … did not fight more champions than a normal person would have had not had the favors and had not received shortcuts.

“In fact, Paddy did not have world title fights. In fact, Paddy has never been the most important event,” Sonnen went on. “I just want to look at it from that perspective … He doesn't try to skip the line.”

Paddy Pimblett responds to Arman Tsarukyan

Although Pimblett apparently has the support of Sonen, the rising lightweight is certainly not one to avoid a verbal sparring competition.

That said, it was no surprise to see that Pimblett responded quickly to Tsarukyan himself.

On X, 'The Baddy' shot back on the number 1 ranked competition and burned him a “rich boy” who got everything on a “silver dish” by his father.

Rich boy who talks about hand -outs🤣 You are everything handed on a silver dish, all your life by daddy, you said I wouldn't fight you, it's just nobody to give you after withdrawing Islam because of a “back injury” we all know that you are really with sauce or https://t.co/y8l908wturss

The Pimblett post is in reference to the rich family background of Tsarukyan, about which the Armenian has been open since he has reached fame in the UFC.
