A piece of business Manchester United has to sort early in the summer transfer window to discharge Alejandro Garnacho, and Vruiters are in line after Ruben Amorim gave his exit the green light
Alejandro Garnacho looks destined for the exit door of Manchester United after Ruben Amorim gave him his marching orders. It is a sad end to what was hoped to be a huge promising career at Old Trafford.
The Argentinian winger, 20, was tipped to follow in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo after breaking into the first team under Erik ten Hag. But he fell out of favor with Amorim, who is supposed to have had problems with his comments after the last defeat of the Europa League against Tottenham.
Garnacho described the United season as “S ***” and complained his couch after playing in every previous round. According to the Daily Mail, Amorim responded by selecting him last weekend during an end of the season, with the United boss said: “You better pray that you can find a club to sign.”
That remark almost confirmed that his Red Devils stay over. Garnacho is supposed to be appreciated in the region of £ 60-70 million, but there is no shortage of potential lovers in line to end his united nightmare, with the window now open from June 1 to June 10 because of the World Cup club.
Napoli
After having rejected an £ 40 million offer in January, the newly crowned Italian champions are favorites to secure the young person's signature. He is a natural replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who left to PSG in the winter window of Naples.
There is therefore no doubt that he could be a normal starter for Antonio Conte. And that performed miracles for his former teammate Scott McTominay, who has settled as a club legend after only one season thanks to his goals.
I report that Napoli sports director Giovanni Manna of the United Officials will meet to reopen conversations for Garnacho. Whether they can meet in the middle of their valuations is still to be seen.
Chelsea
A club that is more likely to stomp the desired money is Chelsea. There are no signs that the wallet of Todd Boehly will not fly open this summer as it has done in the past three years.
The blues may have to add an extra stimulus to convince Ineos to strengthen a Premier League rival – but there is always a price. As usual, Enzo Maresca does not necessarily need another attacking option in his ranks.
However, the future of Jadon Sancho remains in the air. And with Noni Madueke and Pedro Neto more natural attacks on the right wing, there can be room for Garnacho in the XI.
Atletico Madrid
A return to the club where he spent five years of his youth career looks like another potential next move for Garnacho. He left to strive for his “dream” in 2020.
Since then, a lot has changed and Atletico -Baas Diego Simeone is considered a big fan of their former Academy forecast. However, it seems a less natural fit in the favorite 4-4-2 formation of Simeone.
Both Alexander Sorloth and Julian Alvarez enjoyed stunning seasons at the top and scored 20 and 17 competition goals respectively. So Garnacho should probably drop a touch deeper and do the legwork that Amorim has often accused him of missing.
AC Milan
He could enjoy more attacking freedom at the San Siro. Both Inter and AC are linked to a dive, but an output for Rafael Leao could put the last in the steering chair.
Leao is linked to a whole series of clubs, including United. A swap deal could be closed if Garnacho approves it.
Milan is mentioned in reports in Italy as one of the early movers to enter negotiations, alongside Napoli. But she will put their lack of European football next season on the back.
Bayer Leverkusen
The appointment of Ten Hag in the Bayarena has of course fueled a reunion of a reunion for Garnacho in Germany. Leverkusen will certainly not have more money this summer.
Liverpool activates the release clause of Jeremie Frimpong £ 29.5 million and is said to close a £ 100m-plus deal for Florian Wirtz, leaves ten hag with a neat war box to attack the window.
Garnacho's profile lends itself to success in Germany and he was productive among the Dutchman for United. But it might be a riskier move with the club in a transitional period after the Xabi Alonso exit.
