Marcus Rashford is looking for a way out from Manchester United this summer and Barcelona has become a possible destination – although the La Liga side does not want to sign him permanently and only punish a loan
Manchester United has received a setback this summer in their attempt to load Marcus Rashford, where Barcelona tells the Red Devils that they do not want to pay for the winger, according to reports. Rashford is one of the many United players who will probably leave the club in the coming transfer window after a successful loan in Aston Villa.
Rashford yielded four goals and assisted five during his stint under Unai Emery, but it is unclear whether Villa will activate their £ 40 million option to buy it permanently.
Villas fail to qualify for the Champions League means that it is unlikely that they will try to sign him, with the player who wants to play in the top match of Europe.
Rashford enjoyed two Champions League tires against Club Brugge and any winners PSG before the team was dumped in the quarterfinals.
Barcelona has since gone for Villa as the most likely destination for Rashford, but according to the German Outlet Bild, the club does not want to pay the fee of £ 40 million.
It claims that Rashford likes to stand to the Nou -Kamp after he fails with Ruben Amorim and manager Hansi Flick is interested in making it happen.
But it adds that Barcelona does not want to sign him on a permanent transfer and only want a loan movement.
It comes as an important blow to Manchester United, who is in a difficult financial position and have to make money from spending if they want to spend this summer.
Rashford agrees with Antony, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho and Joshua Zirkzee who are connected to an exit. Christian Eriksen, Jonny Evans and Viktor Lindelof have already left free transfers.
But Barcelona's own financial struggles have also been made clear and they have had difficulty registering players. Last season they had a dispute with La Liga about the registration of Dani Olmo.
It is claimed that United would give Rashford to borrow Rashford again, but they would need Barcelona to cover his £ 325,000 a week and at the same time pay a loan costs between £ 5 million and £ 10 million at the top.
The Red Devils also want an obligation for Barcelona to buy Rashford in the summer of 2026 – although the club is also linked to movements for Luis Luis Diaz and Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli, to whom they could turn instead.
