‘Thank goodness’… UFC fans rejoice as major event change throws doubt over unwanted title rematch

The third UFC event from Noche is no longer the first to take place on Mexican soil.

After celebrating the Mexican Independence Day in the T-Mobile Arena and the atmosphere in Las Vegas so far, NOCHE UFC was announced in 2025 for Guadalajara.

The first concerns about the UFC that competed against Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford on 13 September were replaced by concern about Arena Guadalajara that was actually built on time for the arrival of the Octagon.

And delays when completing the location ultimately led to a change in plans.

The promotion announced during the UFC Vegas 107 event on Saturday that NOCHE UFC will now take place in San Antonio and will no longer serve as the UFC 320 pay-per-view.

Many see a huge silver lining for that change.

The 3rd annual #nocheufc now takes place in Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas on September 13.

Movsar Evloev accepted another fight after the UFC title shot

Evloev, who apparently stimulated his popularity under the higher ups, seems to fight another candidate.

The Russian went 9-0 in the Octagon, the most recently Aljamain Sterling, Arnold Allen and Diego Lopes. Although such a run would usually make someone a shoo-in for a title shot, Evloev continues to be overlooked by Dana White.

The 31-year-old revealed his last snub in a message on social media and announced that he accepted another fight for UFC Abu Dhabi on 26 July.

“If you are a UFC hunter and believe that you are the best in the world, then you have [to] Fight against every fight that they throw at you, no risk, no reward, “Evloev wrote.

“See you in July, it's on. #Ufcabudhabi”

The accepted match is a five-round Co-Main event against UFC newcomer Aaron Pico per bloody elbow sources.

It is still to be seen whether a 10th consecutive victory under the UFC banner will finally be enough for Evloev to earn a shot at the champion.
