Beckham disappointed by ‘unacceptable’ behaviour from Man Utd players

David Beckham has criticized the actions of some Manchester United players during their tour after the season through Southeast Asia.

United traveled to Asia immediately after the end of the Premier League season, after they had admitted their worst finish ever in the 15th and lost to Tottenham in the Europa League final.

The aim of the Tour was to raise money and make contact with fans on the other side of the world, with friendly competitions in Malaysia and Hong Kong, although Beckham Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo's behavior burned.

Garnacho seemed to be involved in an altercation and pushed a fan who was filming him, while Diallo Vwoer to another he said he had made offensive comments about his mother.

“I don't like to see what's happening in the club,” said Beckham, spoke with CBS Sports.

“It is true that it is the field that matters, but I see many things that are not acceptable to me as a fan and a fan of Manchester United.

“You have to represent the badge. I have seen many things that players did not act in the right way.

“We understood what it meant to play for Manchester United. We understood what the badge meant.

“Everywhere we traveled, either in Europe or Asia, we respected the fans. We respected the fact that they came and paid money to see us, get a signature or take photos. You have to respect that.”

The players of United were booed after a 1-0 defeat for a Southeast Asian all-star team in their first post-season in Malaysia.

Manager Ruben Amorim said his players had to hear the jeers before Chido Obi restored some respectability by getting from the bank to score a two-squeeze in a 3-1 victory in Hong Kong, although they initially also went a goal in that game.
