Zinédine Zidane turns down Al-Hilal approach

It is hardly a secret that Zinédine Zidane is waiting for the track of France. He also doesn't have much longer to wait. Didier Deschamps has already announced that he will leave his post at Les Bleus after the FIFA World Cup 2026. Zidane is the overwhelming favorite to succeed him in the role.

The former manager of Real Madrid is no longer a work since leaving Los Blancos in 2021, and there is no role before the job in France becomes empty, it seems. According to a report from L'équipe, he has rejected an important approach to Saudi-Arab side Al-Hilal in recent days.

The range of the Gulf State was appreciated at € 100 million for a contract of just one year. It would have enabled him to leave France the next summer and to take it in France. After a day of reflection, however, Zidane chose to refuse the offer. It is Simone Inzaghi who is expected to take the job at Al-Hilal instead.
