Inside Arsenal’s stadium plans to transform Emirates into PL’s biggest ground

According to reports, ARSENAL is exploring ways to expand the Emirates' capacity to 80,000.

The Gunners' home stadium opened in 2006 after their departure from Highbury.

The capacity of Emirates Stadium is currently 60,704.

According to Bloomberg, they are interested in increasing this number to around 80,000.

Club chiefs would like to make their home stadium even more lucrative on match days.

And they are also wary of lagging behind other clubs.

Since the Emirates opened its doors 18 years ago, Tottenham delivered their new stadium in 2019.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium boasts incredible hospitality facilities and also an increased capacity of 62,850.

If Arsenal succeed in expanding the Emirates, their stadium would become the largest in the Premier League.

Old Trafford can currently hold the most with 75,653, while Tottenham are second with 62,850.

West Ham's London Stadium is just behind the Spurs ground at 62,500.

While the much improved Anfield houses 61,276 players.

Discussions over Arsenal's possible stadium renovations are reportedly at an “early stage”.

No final decision has been made on the project yet.

The Gunners' improved stadium would only be behind Wembley Stadium.

The English national stadium seats 90,000 fans and opened in 2007.
