Mason appointed as West Brom head coach

West Brom has appointed Ryan Mason as their new head coach for the 2025-26 season.

Mason has signed a three -year -old deal with the Championship Club, to replace Tony Mowbray after he was fired on April 21.

The 33-year-old spent seven years in various coaching roles in Tottenham, where he also played between 2008 and 2016.

The former midfielder also served as an interim head coach after the Noord -London club, respectively, had dismissed Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte.

In general, Mason took the lead over Spurs for 12 Premier League matches during the two short spells and won six of those competitions.

Mason said he is looking forward to what the future in the Hawthorns has in store.

“This is a huge club with a fantastic infrastructure and an incredible fan base, and I am enthusiastic about what we can achieve together,” said Mason.

West Brom finished ninth in the championship last season, only four points in a play-off place.

The baggies have not been in the Premier League since their relegation of the top flight in 2021.
