Borussia Dortmund is convinced that they won the race for Sunderland -midfielder Jobe Bellingham.
Sources in the Bundesliga Club say that the 19-year-old gave his word to participate after conversations with sports director Sebastian Kehl in Ibiza last week.
The reimbursement is expected to be around £ 25 million with his previous club Birmingham City due to a reduction of 15 percent.
Bellingham met Eintracht Frankfurt last week and also spoke with RB Leipzig.
Dortmund, however, always believed that they had an advantage to offer him the same path that his older brother Jude took.
Bellingham won promotion last month to the Premier League with Sunderland, but took place on a move to the Bundesliga for the next phase in his development.
Jude Bellingham spoke glowing about his experience in Germany and that played a major role in the thinking of the family.
Dortmund was fourth in the Bundesliga this season and earned a place in the Champions League.
They will also compete in the extensive FIFA Club World Cup this summer.
Dortmund is located in Group F together with Fluminense, Ulsan and Mamelodi Sundowns.
