After he had eliminated Aljamain Sterling to become a Bantamweight champion, 'Suga' was immediately booked to defend his new belt against the only man who had defeated him, Marlon 'Chito' Vera.

Sean O'Malley's perfect knee stunned Joe Rogan
A moment of the decision of Sean O'Malley went viral in the aftermath of UFC 299.
In the second round he connected himself with a photo-perfect knee on Vera's jaw.
A loud crack echoed around the arena, but the opponent of O'Malley somehow succeeded in surviving.
“Oh! Big knee,” UFC commentator Joe Rogan shouted when the shot landed.
“Granite,” he added about Vera's chin. “I mean, it sounded like a bat that hit a watermelon.”
UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier stated: “It was just as clean of a knee as you will ever see.”

Joe Rogan will be on a comment when Sean O'Malley rematched Merab Dvalishvili on UFC 316 on Saturday evening.
The 30-year-old has not fought since Dvalishvili achieved his Bantamweight title with a dominant decision gain on UFC 306 last September.
Since then, 'The Machine' has defeated Umar Nurmagomedov to settle as a great 145LB hunter of all time.
Rogan is not sure how O'Malley will disrupt the opportunities when he remates Dvalishvili this weekend.
“That is an interesting fight, very interesting fight,” Rogan said on his podcast.
“I don't know how 'Suga' Sean keeps that guy away from him, but I like what he did.
'[Merab is] AF – Animal. That guy is superhuman, there is no one like him.
“The cardio that that guy has is of the charts. It is just outside the charts. I have never seen it. He is not tired. He is full of gas, do not brake the whole fight. Just smoking, overwhelming people.
“Even Nurmagomedov, who is also an animal, could not hold him away from him. This mother – is crazy.”
