UFC lightweight Jordan Leavitt wasted little time in his return of a discharge of 18 months at UFC Vegas 107.
If Jordan Leavitt suffered from pre-Vecht jitters who came from a long break from the competition, he needed little time to shake it in the Octagon at UFC Vegas 107.
Leavitt and Kurt Holobaugh helped on the UFC Vegas 107 Prelims on the Apex on Saturday. It was a long time ago for Leavitt; 18 months after his most recent fight against Chase Hooper in November 2023.
Leavitt was facing a worthy challenge in Holobaugh, a former striking one on the ultimate hunter and an equally decorated grappler. But when the cage doors closed, it was one-way traffic for Leavitt in his long-awaited comeback fight.

Leavitt and Holobaugh wasted little time to come afterwards, while the two landed on the feet in the first seconds of the first round. But Leavitt hit Holobaugh to the Canvas with a huge Takedown early before he quickly got Holobaugh's back and brought his rival into early problems.
As soon as Leavitt Holobaugh's back got the game. Leavitt went beautifully into an Anaconda Choke subject, and Holobaugh tapped while he went to sleep in the grip of Leavitt.
In contrast to Leavitt's earlier post -fight celebrations, the UFC Lightweight Star was relatively cautious in its theatrics. Leavitt eliminated his characteristic 'Twerk' -celebration in the Octagon and went to Worm when Daniel Cormier brought him on the spot in their interview.
It was Leavitt's first entry victory since the choking of Matt Sayles with an inverted triangle in December 2021. Now back in the winning column, Leavitt is getting a step closer to possible challenging for a top 15 spot in the lightweight division.

UFC Vegas 107 marches despite a chaotic fighting week
In the run -up to Leavitt's wild finish, UFC Vegas 107 contained a bizarre fighting week. The map lost one fight in the hours before UFC Vegas 107, as a booking with a short notice between Andreas Gustafsson and Trevin Giles was scratched after Giles had sustained a head injury while the weight cut.
UFC Vegas 107 Headliner Maycee Barber missed the weight with 1.5 pounds on Friday, so that her main event briefly brought in opposite Blanchfield in question in question. But the flying weight Headliner continued and hairdresser forfeited a percentage of her bag.
A bantam weight fight between rising contenders Ketlen Vieira and Macy Chiason was moved to featherweight after Vieira struggled during the weight management process during the Vechtweek. Allan Nascimento missed the weight on Friday prior to his matchup with rising star Jafel Filho.
