For almost 600 days, the Interim -BUCLC Heavyweight Champion Tom Aspinall is waiting for his chance to prove that he is the best in the world.
Whether with a title Unification vs. Jon Jones or not can be seen.
UFC Heavyweight Champion Jones kept UFC fans guessing when he was recently asked about fighting Aspinall and said he is waiting for the UFC to make an official announcement.
As far as Aspinall is concerned, the interim champion has declared himself the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, in the conviction of 'bones' retires.
Waiting for Jones vs. Aspinall continues to this day with some fans who compare the position of Aspinall with Michael Chandler's in a fight against Conor McGregor who never happened.

Tom Aspinall says he is not Michael Chandler 'waiting for one fight'
UFC Lightweight Chandler waited two years for McGregor's return to UFC 303 last summer, only to be canceled due to a broken toe injury for McGregor. A year later, Chandler does not seem to have gone any further from the idea of fighting 'The Notorious'.
When it comes to Jones, Aspinall claims that he is not waiting for anyone.
“I see many people comparing myself with Michael Chandler,” Aspinall went on.
“Michael Chandler waited for a long time for Conor McGregor and things like that. I am not waiting for one fight. I don't try to fight a man.
“I try to fight all the guys,” Aspinall explained.
“I try to be the man of heavyweight that everyone takes out, and it doesn't matter who it is. Ciryl Gane, [Alexander] Volkov Rematch, [Jailton] Almeida, Derrick Lewis, Brock Lesnar, whoever it is. I don't care.
“I want to fight against everyone, and I want to fight as much as possible, get some excitement back in this division.”
Aspinall says he is not looking to fight Jon Jones; He just wants a crack at the undisputed heavyweight title.

The UFC still has to announce what the next is for the UFC Heavyweight Division and whether it will continue with Jon Jones.
In the midst of the uncertainty, many fans have merged to take matters into their own hands.
Last week a petition reached Jones of the heavyweight title on Change.org 100,000 signatures. Days later, the petition penetrated 150,000 signatures.
At the moment, the petition, which has received support from Aspinall, at 179,418 signatures – is only 20,000 away from a 200,000 milestone.
Time will learn if something comes from the petition, while the MMA world is waiting for the next UFC decision about Jones and Aspinall.
